LJ Hooker Commercial Adelaide’s partners have been named the LJ Hooker group’s South Australian Franchise Owners of the year.

Long-standing business principals Mario Bonomi, Rino Pancione and Claude Buccella received the acknowledgment at the real estate group’s annual state gala on the weekend.

LJ Hooker Commercial Adelaide was also named the top performing agency with 10-20 staff across LJ Hooker’s entire South Australian network.

It has been a milestone year for the trio who, in the last 12 months, also added LJ Hooker Glynde to their residential stable alongside LJ Hooker’s Adelaide City and St Peters agencies. Additionally, the trio celebrated 30 years with the brand in 2018, cementing them as one of the longest standing members of the network.

LJ Hooker Commercial Managing Director Mathew Tiller congratulated the partners, saying they were worthy recipients of the Franchise Owner of the Year title.

“Mario, Rino and Claude are valued and highly respected representatives of the LJ Hooker Commercial network,” said Mr Tiller.

“With years of experience, they’ve developed a highly adept, full-service agency across office, retail and industrial. They have a particularly strong property management division which makes them a sought-after agency for everyone from high net worth landlords through to institutions.”

The South Australian economy has rebounded in the last 12 months after a flat performance period. Business investment rose five percent in FY2018 and another six percent increase is forecast for FY2019, providing landlords, tenants, owner-occupants and developers with confidence to pursue business decisions.

Aldi’s entry into the South Australian market over the last year has spurred retail investment and is likely to underpin further shopping centre development, according to LJ Hooker Commercial’s latest Retail Market Monitor. Yields firmed in the city over the last year, particularly for neighbourhood centres, as syndicates searched for affordability.

Mr Tiller said: “The retail sector will continue to be a strong non-residential property performer in the Adelaide market over the forthcoming year.

“LJ Hooker Commercial Adelaide’s collective business acumen, contacts and market insights will continue to position them as a provider of premium retail outcomes for clients.”
