A multimillion-dollar business and innovation precinct earmarked for Brisbane's Northshore Hamilton development will become the city's new employment hub.
With construction commencing on the first stage of works this month, the project is likely to attract the interest of property investors, with the centre comprising 65,000 square metres of commercial real estate space.
As part of the project, a five hectare site on part of the old northshore Port of Brisbane will be transformed into a thriving business community, accommodating several key industry operations.
State deputy premier and minister for state development, infrastructure and planning Jeff Seeney said the $450 million precinct, which is a BTP Development Services venture, will accommodate medical and health care, electronics, IT, aviation, aerospace and biotechnology industries.
"I am excited by BTP's proposed business and innovation precinct which will transform unutilised former dock land into a highly quality development offering business and employment opportunities with ready access to the airport and the motorway," Mr Seeney said on November 22.
The $5 billion-plus Northshore Hamilton project is likely to be of significant interest to investors, with it also boasting residential and retail property development opportunities.
