Commercial property investors may be interested in a massive Western Australia land development opportunity in one of the state's fastest growing areas.
The state government announced that it is calling for Expressions of Interest (EOI) from interested developers to purchase mixed-use lots at the Cockburn Central Town Centre, located south of Perth.
Available lots range in size from 3,299 sq m to 1.05 ha and offer residential and commercial retail property opportunities.
State lands minister Brendon Grylls said stage one of the centre had already been completed - providing more than 300 dwellings and 15,000 sq m in retail and commercial space.
"Cockburn Central Town Centre is one of the state government's priority projects that demonstrates the delivery of activity centres under the Directions 2031 and Beyond policy," Mr Grylls explained.
"Updated design guidelines have been prepared for the land release to ensure Cockburn Central Town Centre continues to grow into a contemporary, attractive neighbourhood with an emphasis on liveability."
The centre, a combination of residential, business, lifestyle and recreational facilities, is also expected to create 1,000 jobs through its development phase.
Land preparation is underway to accommodate its imminent development.
