Geelong business park gets the green light

December 12, 2011

A new commercial property development in a prominent Victorian growth corridor has been given the green light by the state's planning authority.

The Keystone Business Park is a master-planned project to be built in Geelong, nearly 55 minutes out from Melbourne.

It will have access to a range of arterial roadways as well as providing useful proximity to the industrial port.

The first stage of land sales began on December 7, with the area able to provide up to 50,000 square metres of commercial floor space.

Developments will also include training facilities for the local AFL team - the Geelong Cats - with an indoor training centre and large oval to be completed sometime in 2013.

Speaking on the project, Keystone director Trent Kiernan said that a flexible approach was being used to tailor advanced business solutions.

Kiernan asserted: "We are well advanced in detailed discussions with some major tenants for the business park who will join the Geelong Football Club at this green field location that will ultimately be home to hundreds of companies and in excess of 8,000 employees."

In addition the development will boast a substantial homemaker centre and general trade supply stores - giving businesses a good opportunity to capitalise on the 22,000 new homes expected to be developed in the nearby Armstrong Creek growth corridor over the coming years.
